Education, Vocational Training and Rehabilitation of these uniquely created God's children costs a lot of money and their needs are many. We each have a moral responsibility to see that these special people get all the facilities to become contributory members of the society.
Those of us who can must exercise our abilities to play a part in making this a better world in which to live, our “moral responsibility” is not to individuals alone but to the society at-large to release such hidden talents and courage and joy innate in those whose “special need” is but a leg-up into the world of life, self-respect and creativity. We have a real responsibility to empathy-creating a society at large: to raise others and thereby raise ourselves beyond a complacent attitude to a Universe which is alive, not mere “inertial mass” as some might misguidedly suppose.
Visitors tell us how they are struck by the vibrancy and passion for life of the children, some of whom cannot hear or speak and others who cannot fully use arms or legs etc. They attest to the energy and spark, the clients maintain due to the care and practical direction of their dedicated teachers, trainers, therapists and vocational facilitators. One reflects that “normally-abled” people ought to take a glimpse into the creative self-consciousness, those with disabilities display with such courage.
“CSIRC is a testament to the holistic approach (Education, Employment, Empowerment, Environment) of those Founders and Staff who rescue, care for and nurture this powerful potential of our society.”
The clients might not conform to “normal”, but they more than make up for this in energy contributing to society and their families, with the help of CSIRC.
