Three of our staffs were trained in Vidya Sagar, Chennai, and their team visits the unit at regular intervals to follow up and update. The activities in this unit includes Group Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy & Communication, Individual Education, Sensory Integration, Nature Walk, Play activities, Art, Outings, House Visits, Activities of Daily Living, Parents Counseling & Training and celebrations They have regular outings to various places in Kodaikanal like the lake, tourist spots, gardens, etc. which to our surprise many of the parents haven’t yet visited. The staff conducts regular visit to the homes of the children. Lot of emphasis is given to parent counseling making them accept the condition of their child and importance of starting the rehabilitation services as soon as possible. A consultant Speech Therapist visits this unit twice every week.
